Ulma launches flow-wrapper for food sector

Ulma Packaging has launched the Olympus entry-level vertical form fill seal flow-wrapper aimed for food and industrial bagging applications.

The Olympus VFFS flow-wrapper can wrap fresh produce, liquids, pastes, granules, snacks and frozen or chilled products.

Two have already been sold to companies for the wrapping of carrots. They are easily installed by skilled mechanical personnel, who offer full maintenance either proactive or reactive, dependant upon the customer requirements.

It is capable of running at speeds up to 70 packs per minute and can run a range of sealable films including LDPE, MOPP, PP, Cast, BOPP and complex laminate.

Ulma has included a five-inch colour touch screen, which can save job parameters for future reference.

Optional features include a vacuum table for film splicing, printed film registration system, gas injection for modified atmosphere packaging, vacuum belt film feed systems, special jaws for high speed PE film applications and automatic self-centring film roll.

Ulma Packaging was established in northern Spain in 1956. It has 14 subsidiaries in 14 countries and a team of more than 400 people.
