published on 13/11/08
Labels manufacturer Avery Dennison has launched the ALS 306 modular labelling system for industrial applications.
The ALS 306 can be integrated into any production line, and is easily installed by qualified engineers, not interefering with any proactive or reactive service or maintenance that may need to be carried out regarding the production line and can be mounted either horizontally or vertically, depending on the customer.
The machine can use labels up to 156mm and runs at up to 60 meters per minute.
It says that accuracy at high speed is ensured by the newly introduced push-pull web transport system, which guarantees constant high-web tension.
Avery Dennison has also announced the successfully implemented radiofrequency identification (RFID) systems at two retailers in the Iberian Peninsula.
Lisbon-based bookshop Byblos and Throttleman fashion chain in Portugal have introduced RFID labels, printers and coders, following successful pilot tests.
California-based Avery Dennison is a manufacturer of pressure sensitive labelling materials, retail tag, ticketing and branding systems and office products.
