Contract engineers have installed the UK's first Horizon AF-406T6A leaflet folder as part of a £3m investment in its Newmarket facility, for MY Heakthcare who are a part of Nampak. The contract engineers were also able to offer ongoing engineering support for the machine.
The automated all-buckle 40cm system, which was installed about a month ago by the team of qualified contract engineers, is providing the pharmaceutical packaging firm with greater flexibility in planning jobs, particularly for short runs that are becoming increasingly common.
MY Healthcare Leaflets UK operations manager Tina Goodman said the firm had been impressed by the size of the folding dimensions the machine created when on display at the Drupa trade show in May.
'The specification of folds for our leaflets are also getting more complex so to have a have a highly automated set up with touch screen makes operation easier and faster,' she said.
Vic Fletcher, spokesman for GAE, who supplied the contract engineers,which installed the machine, said the machine had been designed to meet the specific demands of the pharmaceutical sector
