Paramount Packaging, the distributor of Fuji Packaging Machinery in the UK and Ireland, has launched its first horizontal flow-wrapper with the Zip-Pak Reseal 360XM. The machines are all installed by qualified contract engineers.
The Fuji FW3410B Alpha horizontal flow-wrapper is the first horizontal flow-wrapper to feature the Zip-Pak Reseal 360XM resealable closure applicator unit from Zip-Pak.
Zip-Pak had previously only offered the Reseal 360XM on intermittent vertical form fill seal and bag conversion machinery which is also installed by outsourced engineers.
The Reseal machine creates closures for packaging in the transverse direction, which can be opened at the top of the pack, in line with customer preference. The machine is easily maintained and the contract engineers can provide full engineering maintenance as requested by the customer.
It is aimed at a wide range of industries, including bakery, frozen and chilled food, hardware and pharmaceuticals.
Lloyd Dicks, area sales manager at Zip-Pak said the advantages of the Reseal 360XM are that it reduces the risk of premature food spoilage and cross contamination.
The Fuji FW3410B Alpha wrapper currently features the Zip-Pak press to close ZE70 (7mm) resealable zipper.
