published on 06/01/09 Redpack Packaging Machinery has launched a refurbishment service for flow-wrapping machines following demand from manufacturers and contract packers. The refurbished machines will all be installed by a team of contract engineers.
The service sees machines stripped down, shot blasted and repainted, rewired with updated electronics, fitted with new bearings and parts, inspected for safety regulations, tested and set up to customer specification. The contract engineers also play a role in the fitting of new bearings and parts during the refurbishment.
The company said the service would not be restricted to the machines that it manufactures, subject to inspection by the contract engineers.
Redpack's Steve Crow said: 'In some sectors the credit crunch has resulted in a freeze on the purchase of all capital equipment. This refurbishment service provides an alternative way forward for packaging development managers faced with the need for increased or more flexible output from existing production lines, and our team of skilled contract engineers are more than able to deliver to a high standard as our customer expects'
Redpack Packaging Machinery has been designing and manufacturing flow-wrapping machines for nearly 30 years.
