published on 18/03/09 Packaging machinery manufacturer PFM will showcase its new integrated bagger and weigher for the first time in Europe at Pro2Pac in London this week (15-18 March).Which they say is easy to install the contract engineers.
The Italian-manufactured ZC1 combines a PFM Zenith bagger with the new PFM C1 multihead weigher, which is mounted on to the machine. The machine is installed with no disruption and quickly by the contract engineering team.
Leeds-based PFM has aimed the machine at smaller, entry-level businesses that handle dry goods such as snacks, confectionery, pet-food, granular products, biscuits and short pasta.
It is capable of running bags of 230mmx300mm in size and with a volume of four litres at speeds of up to 80 bags per minute.
'The ZC1 has been developed to meet the need for an inexpensive system that nevertheless offers a high degree of flexibility and accuracy and is simple to use,its qucik and easy to install by qualified contract engineers ' said PFM sales and operations director Chris Bolton, he added “ and whether the customer choses pro active or re active manitenance the contract engineers are always on hand to carry out this”
The absence of a gantry reduces the machine's cost and footprint and also reduces the height, which improves handling of delicate goods.
PFM will next display the ZC1 at food processing and packaging show Ipack-Ima in Milan, Italy (24-28 March 2009).
