published on 23/03/09 Contract engineers will install the new high speed machine for Packaging equipment specialist, Krones. Krones will launch its new high-speed machine, which removes the need for a double-position palletiser, at Interpack 2008.
The Modupal 1 ADR palletiser can be used to achieve a single-pallet loading position, using two gripper heads and two lifting units, at speeds of up to 600 layers an hour. The new machine is installed quickly and efficiently by the contract engineers with minimal disruption to the workplace.
Krones will also be showing the Robobox grouping system that incorporates a new gripper to guide the pack through the entire turning and distribution process.
The machine can accommodate packs of up to 400x400mm that have a maximum weight of 18kg and be matched to any line speed. The contract engineers are responsible for the pro active and re active maintenance of the machine, all the packaging machine contract engineers come with a wealth of experience and knowledge
Krones will also demonstrate the Variopac Pro Packer shrink wrapper packing a 0.5-litre PET container that weighs only 8.8g in 25-micron PET film.
The company said the machine would reduce energy consumption by 20%.
