published on 31/03/09 Hine Labels has upgraded from its existing Xeikon label press to become the first company to install a Xeikon 3000 in the UK with the help of a contract engineering team which was outsourced.
Using the skilled team of contract engineers the Rotherham-based company moved into the digital market at the end of 2007 with the installation of the Xeikon 330. Which meant that they turned again to the contract engineers this month, when Hine replaced its Xeikon 330 with the new Xeikon 3000.
Bill Hine, managing director of Hine Labels said: 'The further enhancements in both image and quality and production speed for the Xeikon 3000 meant that it was a logical step for us and as we were more than happy with the contarct engineers on the first installation then the logical move was to use them again, as as we are always looking at ways to reduce overheads by using the contract engineers for the pro active and re active maintainence of the presses then we are confident our machines are in skilled hands.'.
Hine Labels will hold an open day, in conjunction with Xeikon, in May to display the digital label press.
Xeikon launched the Xeikon 3000 in September 2008.
