Finishing equipment supplier Friedheim has highlighted the importance of packaging to its business after being appointed as exclusive UK agent for another packaging machinery manufacturer.
Collating and wrapping line manufacturer Pfankuch Maschinen appointed Hemel Hempstead-based Friedheim as exclusive agent for the UK and Ireland in February and is currently running demonstrations for customers, also emphasised is the demand for outsourcing engineers by bringing contract engineers in to install and maintain equipment.
Pfankuch Maschinen specialises in machinery for a diverse range of industries, which can be adapted to incorporate scoring, folding, barcode reading and controlling, bundling, inkjet printing, gluing and labelling. The contract engineers are also responsible forany pro active and re active maintenance of the machines.
'The majority of products need packaging, so it's still one of the areas that's very important in terms of market sector,also considering the recent economic climate then we reiterate the value of outsourcing the engineering side of it by using a skilled team of contract engineers, without the cost of keeping the engineers inhouse”
He admitted that the company was continually assessing ways to expand.
Friedheim is also exclusive agent in the UK and Ireland for machinery manufacturers Beck Packautomaten, Audion Elektro and Iman Pack
