Mechanical Engineers To Fit New Belt

A new belt, which has eliminated welded joints from its design, ensures less downtime, enhanced durability as well as cleanability for food manufacturers aiming to cut costs while still maintaining stringent hygiene standards is being fitted by mechanical engineers for various companies
Netherlands based conveyor belt manufacturer, Twentebelt, claims that its new TwenteFlex, will increase production efficiency due to its innovative design and is no challenge to fit by the skilled mechanical personnel. The stainless steel belt was developed to meet the industry trend for the spiral type of conveyor systems.
Mark Wigger said “Our general product had been straight running belts up to this, but we recognized that there was a growing demand in the food processing sector for this type of technology, and we decided to produce a belt for the spiral market that would make us stand out from the competition, the belt is simple to fit along with the machinery required and is done quickly and efficiently by a team of contract mechanical engineers” he said.
In eliminating welded joints, the spiral belt has no dead-end cavities, thereby significantly reducing the risk of bacterial contamination and hygiene threats, while the open structure of the TwenteFlex makes it easy to clean, the mechanical fitters are also able to carry out any pro active or re active maintenance as needed added Wigger.
