produced by Saxby Brothers, Wellingborough, has been updated following the recent installation of the latest PFM Model Falcon flowrapping machinewhich was installed within the timescale allocated by a team of contract engineers.
Previously, each pie was wrapped by hand using a coated paper material. Customers would then remove the packaging before displaying the pie in the delicatessen section.
The factory manager of Saxby Brothers said 'We were impressed by the ability of the Falcon to handle these heavy products quite comfortably as well as the total control that the servo option gives to all the important functions of the machine.' “We used the same team of skilled contract engineers to install the machine which the contract engineers did with little disruption to the workforce which was excellent”
The mechanical contract engineers are also responsible for the maintenance of the other machinery within the factory using pro active or re active, adapted to suit the needs of the business.
