Contract Engineers install user-friendly bagging line

Packaging and processing giant Tna has unveiled a fully integrated packaging line - allowing snack makers to concurrently monitor several aspects of the production process which has already been successfully installed in a number of companies by a team of local contract engineers.
Tna representative Michelle Nisenboim said 'The fully integrated packaging system on display enables customers to monitor and direct compatible upstream and downstream equipment like weighers, date coders and metal detectors from a master control unit, it has been designed to be installed by the contract engineers with a minimum of fuss and the mechanical contract engineers have agreed with this'
When a bag is made, the system summarises its details and measurements before passing on the information to any attached PC in real time - allowing production managers to monitor the process without being in the vicinity of the equipment. The contract engineers are also able to offer proactive and reactive maintenance, suitable to the needs of the customer
Tna group marketing manager Shayne de la Force said: 'Customers need current statistical information about their production lines displayed to them in an easy to read spreadsheet or database format, and our equipment delivers that.'
