Contract Enginners Install rapid Fill Range System

Sealed Air has released the latest system in its RapidFill range, which it claims can create the lightest void-fill bags current available on the market which is due to installed shortly by a team of contract engineers from a local outsource provider.
The US producer of Bubble Wrap cushioning said the new line would provide significant savings on shipping and handling costs and can process 10 packages a minute. The skilled mechanical engineers would also be responsible for the pro active and re active maintenance as required.
A single operator is required to put the bags in the carton, fold the cartons flaps, and send it through a case sealer where it is inflated using sensors to ensure the right amount of air is used.
Andy Robinson, Sealed Air European product manager, said: 'We are continually looking for ways to save our customers money by minimising the time and personnel resources required during the packaging process, while increasing outputs and reducing damage this is especially important with the current ecomonic situation which is why we are using a local engineering outsource provider to reduce overheads'
