published on 03/06/09 Catalent Pharma Solutions have appointed a team of contract engineers to install a KBA printing press for its Dublin facility to boost the European expansion of its printed components business.
The 10-colour KBA Rapida 106 will be installed in June by the team of mechanical contract engineers and will produce pharmaceutical, healthcare and medical device cartons as well as high end IT retail packaging.
Victor Dixon, Catalent vice president and general manager of printed components, said the new press would enable the firm to 'meet the changing needs of our customer base, while reducing overheads by now outsourcing the engineering side which is becoming more and more common place'.
'It introduces a higher standard in pharmaceutical carton supply,' he said.
