published on 16/07/09 Contract engineers from a local outsourcing provider are currently working for CS Labels after they bought a second finishing unit as it continues its move into digital printing after upgrading a press to the Xeikon 3000.
The Xeikon 3000 was installed last week by the team of skilled mechanical engineers with little disruption to the factory to replace a Xeikon 300 and the West Midlands firm is awaiting a second finishing machine, which will be intstalled by the same efficient team of mechanical contract engineers to handle increased throughput.
CS Labels bought its first digital press two-and-a-half years ago, but digital printing on its two Xeikon 300 presses now accounts for some 60% of turnover.
When the second finishing machine is installed both units will be run offline to give the firm greater flexibility, the machines will contuniue to run smoothly as the contract engineers have also been appointed to oversee the pro active and re active maintenance of the machines.
CS Labels prints and finishes a wide range of products including self-adhesive labels and barcodes.
