A team of contract engineers have been kept busy installing new cupcake and muffin case-making machine for Chevler, Production is about to commence on the new cupcake and muffin case-making machine to meet growing demand from the US market.
Mid Glamorgan-based Chevler has invested £200,000 in the bespoke reel-fed machine, which can manufacture over 250,000 crimped muffin and cupcake cases an hour. The machine was installed by a team of skilled, highly knowledgeable contract mechanical engineers and the company were very impressed with the efficiency and skill of the team.
The machine took three years to develop and is expected to start production in the next couple of weeks with the contract engineers being on hand to carry out any pro active or re active maintenance as the machine prepares to go.
Chevler was formed in February following a management buyout by four senior executives of Chevler Packaging.
Since the buyout was complete, the company's two sites have been brought together onto the one site in South Wales.
