published on 13/08/09 Contract engineers will be undertaking some installations for a contract packer after major growth is planned for pharmaceutical contract packer Wasdell Packaging which will include a purpose-built facility in Swindon after a former managing director acquired a majority stake in the company.
The new facility will be fully-equipped with facilities for container and liquid filling, blister packs, sachets and more, the new machinery and lines will be installed by a team of contract engineers that have been sourced from a local outsourcing provider who has been providing mechanical engineers to the industry for over 20 years.
Further investment is also planned for Wasdell's existing Gloucestershire-based facility in Stonehouse and there are plans to use the same team of mechanical enginners who are also being utilised on site to carry out maintenance procedures and on an ad hoc basis to cover the companies own shotfalls in staffing due to holidays and sickness.
Wasdell Packaging's new Swindon facility is scheduled for completion at the start of 2010.
