published on 28/08/09 A team of contract engineers from a local outsourcing provider was appointed to install new weighing and packaging equipment for Twinnings. Twinings is bagging speciality teas at its Andover factory using weighing and packaging equipment installed the engineers.
The engineering team installed the machine at the request of the company during the Easter shutdown to avoid any disruption to the factory , the vibratory fed E55 bagging weigher, which discharges the weighed and graded tea leaves into plastic lined cardboard boxes that are placed manually at the filling position was installed quickly and efficiently.
The E55 has been installed onto a bespoke-designed support framework and is controlled by a SpeedAC NXT weighing controller. Once filled, the cases are moved away from the filling area via an integrated box liner sealer and conveyor system.All of the machinery can be pro actively or re actively maintained bu the mechanical contract engineers who between them have over 20 years of experience within the food and beverage industry.
The E55 replaced older equipment, which was removed by the contract engineers, which had started to become inaccurate.
