published on 07/08/09 Skymark has started to reinvest in new equipment a mere two months after fire destroyed its Leominster site elisting a team of local contract engineers to begin installing the new machinery.
The packaging film supplier has bought a Fischer & Krecke FP 16S-10 printing press with Smart GPS for its Scunthorpe facility. This is an easily installed piece of equipment for the contract engineers, this team currently has over twenty years of experience between them and up to date training.
'Since the fire we've had to redirect the work load to a number of sub-contractors including contract engineers to install the new machinery and to our Scunthorpe facility,' said sales development manager Dan Richards.
The company lost four presses, a laminator and slitters in the fire and Richards said the firm plans to replace this equipment. All relevant machinery will be installed by the skilled team who was also undertake any maintenance as deemed needed.
