published on 24/08/09 JZ Flowers International has enlisted the services of a local outsource provider to implemented an online label and barcode verification system at its site in Plaxton Bridge, Yorkshire, to ensure all bouquets it supplies to supermarkets are labelled correctly.
The engineers have intergrated the Hand Held Products SV200 online verification system with the other machines already on site with maximum speed and efficency. The Hand Held Products SV200 to check the contrast, direction and reflection of type and graphics on the labels as well as the number of labels that have been printed.
Bill Bradnum, quality control manager at JZ Flowers, said: “We have the SV200 running in our print room and it is working very well. We have already seen a reduction to zero rejections from our customers, which has resulted in zero penalties. I am now rolling this system out across the entire print room and at the sites in Hull and Ireland’ he added ‘ The engineers also did an excellent job and were on hand for any maintenance issues that needed resolving quickly and efficiently’
