A Team of Mechanical Engineers Install Two New Bobst Machines

published on 16/11/09
Carton manufacturer Kingston Carton has updated its equipment to meet growing demand by buying two new Bobst machines which has been installed by a team of mechanical engineers.
The Visioncut 106 LE die-cutter and Expertfold 110 A2 folder-gluer were installed by the mechanical engineers three weeks ago and are now up and running. The investment will help the firm increase its production volume to meet demand.
Visioncut 106 uses camera technology to register the sheet edge or the print itself to the die-cutting tools. This reduces pauses in production and maintains die-cutting quality regardless of variations in the print.
The Expertfold machine is used for straightline, crashlock and four and six-corner carton production and it can run up to 450 metres per minute.
The firm had been delighted with its exisiting equipment and the efficiency of the experienced mechanical engineers who are responsible for the installation and back-up service. Once a machine is installed, the contract engineers don't just walk away and leave the company to get on with it. Instead the engineers come back regularly to advise and to carry out pro active or re active maintenance which also helps to keep staff keep up to date on all the latest developments in each field.
