A team of contract engineers from a local outsource provider are due to install a number of labelling systems for a labelling specialist.
The Herma 400 label applicators are mounted onto Ilapak vertical form fill and seal (vffs) machines applying promotional labels to bags of fresh salad.
The system features the Herma 400 with a 400 watt servo drive and integrated control, supplied complete with a special frame that re-routes the bagging film past the label application point. Accuracy levels of better than +/0.5mm can be achieved, even at speeds in excess of 70 metres per minute.
The latest model also includes on board memory so that up to thirty label product formats can be stored.
