Mechanical Engineers Install Two New Thieme Lines

Swanline Print is targeting growth in screen-printed packaging after investing in two Thieme lines to increase capacity. The two new lines have successfully been installed by a group of highly skilled mechanical engineers.
Staffordshire-based Swanline produces printed packaging and point-of-sale displays. The group of mechanical enginners who have over 20 years experience between them installed a Thieme 5060 two-colour machine and a Thieme 5000 one-colour line shortly before Christmas.
Managing director Nick Kirby said the new lines would help improve the firm's service and enhance the quality of its output.
'The investment in our screen operation should send a clear message to those businesses that deal with us regularly that we will always seek to improve our overall capabilities to their benefit.'
The Thieme 5060 can handle sheets measuring 1.7m by 2.2m and Swanline said it was a good fit for the Nuri SOL large format diecutter that was installed in August.
