The group of engineers have between them over 20 years of experience and can augment existing teams, or assume complete responsilbility for the small business unit providing additional expertise and resources withing the following departments, - Projects, Maintenance, Installation and Service.
The aim of the £3.5 investment plan is to help Rigid enter the high-quality, decorative graphics market and comes a year after the firm completed a £3m expansion that increased capacity at its Selby facility by 40% to 140m sqm.
Rigid said it had specified a machine with inter-deck dryers for exceptional print quality on high hold-out white liners.
As part of the investment programme, the company has also bought SuperNova 2 folder-gluers for both its Selby and Desborough sites and an E-flute cassette for the corrugator at Desborough which will also be installed by the same contract engineers.
