A group of highly skilled mechanical engineers designed and installed a bespoke packing line for the new high profile plastic tube for Tangerine Confectionery’s iconic Sherbet Fountain.
The packing line was successfully installed well within time and budget. The mechanical engineers have between them over 20 year’s experience.
Tangerine required a fast and efficient filling and packing system that could be automated as far as possible in order to achieve an overall speed of 100 tubes per minute. The engineering solution compromises the bulk feeding of the tubes, organising them in readiness for filling, capping and sleeving, followed by final quality checks and packing into cases.
As well as the design and production of the conveying and pick and place equipment, “John Williams, Project Manager at Tangerine Confectionary, says, “we have worked with the group of mechanical engineers before and knew the company to be experts in bringing together the necessary equipment to create an efficient and reliable line that met all our production requirements.”
