An organic food farm has called on skilled engineers with 20 years experience, to install a second 53LTi thermal transfer printer as part of an overhaul of its coding and marking set-up.
The organics and ethical food producer has had the printer retrofitted on an older packing machine to apply best-before codes, times and batch numbers to a range of substrates. The 53LTi prints at up to 300dpi and boasts a 600m ribbon capacity, with a 53mm x 30mm print area. In terms of speed it is capable of printing up to 250mm per second.
Adrian Ling, a spokesman for the firm, said: 'It was a tricky installation but the skilful engineer team persevered until they got it right”.
