published on 13/09/10 A team of contract engineers from a local outsource provider have succesfully installed Windmoller & Holscher eight-colour press, at Burnley.
The machine is the third new press bought by the company in the past five years and is part of a drive to expand the business.
'As the business expands it is critical that we continue to provide customers with the product and service they are used to,' explains managing director Allan Ferguson.
'We have made significant investment in the last few years and are confident this will support future business growth.'
'Learoyd is a well-run business that is always looking to improve its performance by investing in new technology,' says Lombard relationship manager Helen Cutler.
The Windmoller & Holscher press will produce printed reel plastics and Ferguson says that the investment continues its strategy of providing quality products and fast turnaround times.
Learoyd was established in 1976 and has a workforce of 150. It specialises in the food sector and its customers include Warburtons, Müller, Cadbury and major supermarket chains.
