Contract Engineers installs Loma Metal Detection System

published on 23/09/10
Baklava manufacturer Persis has called in a local engineering services company to install a metal detection line at its Wembley facility.
Persis had identified a potential risk of metal contaminating its products as the runners on the metal racks it uses wear down and asked the local outsource engineering services company to install a system to monitor its products.
Operators can also select the right frequency for maximum contaminant detection and has a performance validation system the produces a record of contaminant, which can help towards BRC certification. The Loma IQ3 can learn the characteristics of 100 different products, which was key as Persis produces a wide range of Baklava
Nazim Frazer Production Manager of Persis said: 'We wanted to rule out every possibility of metal in our products and the IQ3 has given us total peace of mind.'
