Eagle Packaging Machinery is to unveil the new Boxxer T12 automatic case erector at Pack Expo 2010. The machine is also a bottom tape sealer and can run both regular slotted and half slotted boxes. It can erect and tape 12 boxes per minute.
According to Eagle, the single operator Boxxer T12 transfers a blank from the supply hopper to the erecting system where the blank is opened, the minor flaps are folded and followed by the major flaps.
The case is then moved through to the tape cartridge where a 2in or 3in tape is applied. In addition the unit features a colour touch screen and a high capacity blank hopper.
Eagle manufacturers other tray forming and case erecting equipment for sectors including beverage, food, pharmaceutical and automotive. Pack Expo takes place in Chicago from 31 October to 3 November.
