A group of highly skilled mechanical engineers from a local packaging services company have installed a new conveying and packaging system at Fresh Direct.
This new conveying and packaging system has enabled the company to deliver quality fresh produce picked and delivered to UK caterers, fine dining restaurants and independent chefs on a daily basis from their chilled warehouse.
As a cost effective solution for the company, the packaging engineers installed a refurbished spiral conveyor, designed to support high throughput and vertical product flow. The packaging services company states that the contract engineers are able to easily service the conveyor with low maintenance requirements.
