Construction industry supplier Border Aggregates, as part of their packaging projects, has purchased an automatic packing system from Chronos BTH.
The acqusition forms part of an expansion plan at Border Aggregates’ Carnforth facility in North Lancashire.
The packing system will be used for filling pre-made polyethylene bags with various products at rates of around 800 bags per hour.
Border Aggregates, Manager Director Terry Billington, said'Following visits to Europe to see the Chronos BTH manufacturing centre we immediately recognised the quality of the engineering and equipment.'
Installation of the packaging system will be carried out later in the year, sourced from a local packaging engineering firm..
