Alongside these areas, we breakdown the project into 4 different stages of a project lifecycle:

• Feasibility Study – During this stage we will work alongside the client to help draw up a specification and outline an initial design. This allows us to project a cost and create an understanding of what the expected outcome of the project is. In addition to this, the feasibility study identifies the project benefits so that we can personally prepare a report of recommendations.
• Project design – During the project design stage we are able to prepare a detailed specification and detailed designs to perfect and finalise the initial design. This will highlight any areas which need improving before production is carried out. Within this stage we also tender documentation for contractors to quote against and prepare detailed costings now that the specification is more refined.
• Submit project for company approval – The project documentation is finalised and prepared including a full financial evaluation and detailed design, ready to be sent off to the client for them to approve and raise any queries which they may have.
• Project management – Throughout out project management process we focus on preparing and managing the project to a specified timescale, as well as coordinating multi-contract interferences. In addition to this as project manager, we act as a competent person as per CDM regulations. Throughout the project management process, we make sure to liaise with the client and keep them updated on how things are progressing. This enables them to still feel as though they have full control over the project and can input any ideas they may have throughout.
