NW Ambient Food and Drink Facility

Permission has been granted for the development of a 26,000m2 food and drink logistics facility at the Port of Salford in the Northwest of England.

The depot will be a multimodal facility, accessible by road, rail and shipping via the Manchester Ship Canal. This will provide a strategic foothold in the Northwest to allow the company behind the development to manage the growth of its existing client base and expand new business.

The chilled and ambient logistics specialist with offer storage, distribution and contract packaging services from the site and other services for branded and own-label manufacturers.

A packaging engineering solutions provider based in the Northwest would be able to assist this company in providing conveying lines, palletising equipment, packaging equipment, labellers and accumulation machinery. The experienced engineers can project manage the installation of the machinery around the end of build or can augment existing teams of engineers at site.
